Early Surgery or Conservative Care for Asymptomatic Aortic Stenosis at 10 Years.

The New England journal of medicine·March 26, 2026·PMID 41880613

Why it matters

Management of asymptomatic severe aortic stenosis is often deferred until symptoms develop. This trial suggests that, in very severe disease, waiting may expose patients to avoidable cardiovascular and survival risk over the long term.
