Aroxybutynin and atomoxetine (AD109) for obstructive sleep apnea: a randomized phase 3 trial (SynAIRgy).

American journal of respiratory and critical care medicine·July 1, 2026·PMID 42148495

Why it matters

Many OSA patients cannot use PAP, leaving a large treatment gap. AD109 offers a novel oral pharmacotherapy targeting neuromuscular dysfunction, with clinically meaningful AHI reduction and a tolerable safety profile, expanding options for non-PAP candidates.
