Impact of Testosterone Replacement Therapy on Functional and Oncological Outcomes Following Radical Prostatectomy (ENFORCE Study).

European urology oncology·April 1, 2026·PMID 40514343

Why it matters

Testosterone deficiency is common after radical prostatectomy and may hinder sexual rehabilitation, yet evidence on TRT in this population is limited to nonrandomized, retrospective studies with lingering safety concerns. This trial addresses a critical gap by prospectively evaluating both functional and oncologic outcomes, potentially clarifying the role of TRT in post-prostatectomy care.
