3D-generation of high-purity midbrain dopaminergic progenitors and lineage-guided refinement of grafts supports Parkinson's disease cell therapy.

Cell stem cell·November 6, 2025·PMID 41151578

Why it matters

Current hPSC-based therapies for Parkinson's disease suffer from low in vivo yield of desired neurons and risk of off-target cells. This work provides a scalable method to produce high-purity, lineage-defined grafts with improved safety and efficacy, directly addressing key barriers to clinical translation.
