Maternal PUFA intake is widely promoted for neurodevelopment, yet causal evidence linking supplementation to brain metabolism in children is lacking. This study provides novel, high-level evidence that prenatal PUFA supplementation alters brain metabolic parameters, offering insight into biological mechanisms without immediate cognitive or behavioral correlates.
