Salovum® reduces mortality in isolated severe traumatic brain injury: a randomized phase II trial.

Brain : a journal of neurology·September 7, 2026·PMID 42705343

Why it matters

Severe traumatic brain injury carries high mortality, especially in low- and middle-income settings where effective neuroprotective therapies are lacking. A simple, inexpensive, nasogastrically administered intervention that reduces mortality could address a major unmet need in neurocritical care.
