Why it matters

POI and EM confer prolonged estrogen deficiency, increasing risks of cardiovascular, skeletal, cognitive, and psychological morbidity. Current HT approaches are fragmented and influenced by older postmenopausal paradigms, leading to undertreatment. This position paper provides a framework for specialists to reframe HT as preventive hormonal replacement, potentially reducing long-term disability and improving healthy longevity.
