Why it mattersCagriSema combines a GLP-1 receptor agonist with an amylin analog, offering a novel dual mechanism for glycemic control. This trial provides high-quality evidence that the combination provides modestly greater HbA1c reduction than high-dose semaglutide alone, which may be relevant for patients needing additional glucose-lowering beyond GLP-1 monotherapy.
