Effects of Blood Pressure Lowering by Hematoma Location in Acute Intracerebral Hemorrhage.

Neurology·November 10, 2026·PMID 42848972

Why it matters

Hematoma location is a key determinant of treatment response in acute ICH. Intensive blood pressure lowering, a widely used intervention, may not benefit all patients equally, and this analysis suggests that patients with deep ICH are most likely to benefit, while those with lobar or infratentorial hemorrhage may not.
