Rise and shine: Morning blue light exposure, sleep, and work.

The Journal of applied psychology·September 3, 2026·PMID 42691259

Why it matters

Circadian misalignment and poor sleep are common in working populations and can impair daytime functioning. This study provides evidence that a simple, low-cost morning light intervention may improve sleep and next-day work performance, particularly for younger workers and those with sleep difficulties.
