Endogenous Testosterone Recovery after Enucleation for BPH: Clinical Insights into the Concept of "Normal" Testosterone.
Andrology·July 28, 2026·PMID 42522244
Why it mattersMen with BPH and nocturia may have disrupted sleep that suppresses testosterone, and AEEP can reverse this. The finding that testosterone rises even in men with baseline levels in the low-normal range (3.5–4.5 ng/mL) challenges rigid definitions of “normal” and suggests a reversible functional component to relative androgen insufficiency in this population.
