Trial of a Maternal Diet Rich in Eggs and Peanuts to Reduce Infant Allergy.

The New England journal of medicine·September 17, 2026·PMID 42748429

Why it matters

Food allergy prevention strategies are of major interest, and maternal dietary allergen exposure during pregnancy and lactation has been proposed but lacked trial evidence. This large RCT provides high-quality data that high intake of eggs and peanuts does not reduce infant allergy risk.
