Three-Level Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion With or Without an Investigational Posterior Stabilization System Assessed Through 24 Months: A Multicenter Randomized Controlled Trial.

Spine·September 1, 2025·PMID 40331720

Why it matters

Long-segment ACDF for three-level disease carries high nonunion and revision rates. This trial provides the first randomized evidence that adding posterior stabilization substantially improves fusion and reduces revisions, addressing a common clinical dilemma in spine surgery.
