Laser Therapy for Sexual Health in Breast Cancer Survivors Receiving Aromatase Inhibitors: A Secondary Analysis of a Randomized Clinical Trial.

JAMA network open·October 1, 2026·PMID 42879157

Why it matters

Breast cancer survivors on aromatase inhibitors often have limited options for genitourinary syndrome of menopause, and laser therapy is increasingly marketed despite limited sham-controlled evidence. This trial provides high-quality evidence that laser therapy does not outperform sham, supporting reliance on nonhormonal therapies and avoiding unnecessary procedures.
